Discover (Your) Nature Mini Retreat at Tower Hill

Strengthen your connection to self and nature with the healing art of yoga and a grounding meditative walk through the woods. Begin the morning with a flowing, all-level yoga practice to invigorate the body and center the mind. With this sense of openness in mind and body, the group will embark on a meditative hike to explore the wooded trails of Tower Hill Botanic Garden. On the trek, you will be guided to use all your senses to observe our surroundings and pause along the way to take some grounding asanas (yoga poses) to deepen our sense of oneness with earth and tap into the restorative power of the outdoors. 

Before ending this mini-retreat, we'll gather once more for a final reflection and meditation. At the conclusion, participants are encouraged to continue to explore the beautiful grounds in this mindful manner. 

Please bring your own mat or blanket for yoga practice, comfortable walking shoes, a light snack, a water bottle, and a journal should you choose to do additional reflecting. This workshop is designed for all levels. The walk is over easy terrain. 

As a yoga teacher, Lauren focuses on allowing students to tune in to their bodies, encouraging them to expand their abilities while honoring their limitations. She believes that when we turn our focus internally and become intimately connected to how we feel and who we are, we can experience life more deeply and fully. 

Lauren has a steady, grounded presence that has been strengthened through her own personal practice of yoga. Her practice helped her reduce stress, improve her health, create more balance in her life, and cultivate her own intuition. 

In her classes she guides students through graceful and deliberate movement paired with breath, building postures from the ground up for an embodied yoga experience. She takes an all-levels approach, helping beginners create a solid foundation for their practice, while allowing more experienced practitioners dive deeper into their own practice.
